About SIGNAL

SEE PEOPLE. BE KINDER.

Clothing that helps conversations start differently.

It started with Mike.

Natiesha wanted her brother, Mike, to be safer in public. Mike is autistic, and strangers did not always understand what they were seeing when he could not explain his needs. She wanted a message that gave people a chance to understand before they reacted.

That personal concern became SIGNAL: clear words on clothing, and a reminder to see the person in front of you.

Some disabilities and communication differences are not obvious to strangers. SIGNAL gives people who choose to wear it a direct way to make a little of that context visible. A message can say something the wearer wants others to know, or ask for a little more patience.

We are one SIGNAL collection with different styles, garments and ways to wear a message. The product you choose should feel right for you, in its words as well as its fit.

The wearer decides what to share.

A piece of clothing does not tell the whole story of a person or control another person's response. Wearing SIGNAL is a personal choice, and it is not an invitation to question someone about their disability.

Read the words. Respect the request. See the person.
